The Completer 2 oz silver coin from The Royal Mint's Queen's Beast collection, minted in 2021.
The Queen's Beast series has been a complete success for The Royal Mint. Not only because it has been very well received by the public, who have sold out all of its editions, but also because it was part of the company's plan to export part of British culture around the world. The heraldic statues of the animals that have formed part of the history of the royal house have reached the corners of the world.
Once all the coins that made up the collection have been released in different editions, the time has come to close it: The Competer is the icing on the cake, a sort of compilation with all the fantastic animals that have been the protagonists of the coins minted at the refinery in recent years.
It is on the cross where all the creatures appear. Each one occupies a sort of window, decorated with a half-arch and with the animal protruding from it and looking towards the centre of the coin, in which we see the face of Queen Elizabeth II on a small background formed by dots in bas-relief. Around it we find all the specifications of a coin that could be defined as baroque, since its entire surface is occupied by decorative elements.
On the face of the coin is the face of the queen designed by Jody Clark, very similar to the cross but larger and with the same background. Above it, the face value of the coin (5 pounds), her name and various inscriptions such as Dei Gratia (God's Grace).
The Completer coin was minted by The Royal Mint in 2021 with 2 ounces of 99.999% pure silver, has a diameter of 38.61 millimetres and a thickness of 3.80 millimetres. Get it before it's too late! Get it at the best price guaranteed and show it off on the shelves at home.
