A 30 gram silver coin of 2021 Chinese Panda, from the mint of the Republic of China.

The Chinese Panda series is one of the public's favourite bullion coins. Since 1982, the mint has been releasing an annual series with a changing design, something that arouses the interest not only of investors, but also of collectors.

The obverse of the coin features the Panda, one of the country's most iconic and representative animals. This issue features a mother panda keeping a close eye on her cub, which is climbing a tree. The drawing of the animals as well as the trunk and leaves of the tree is magnificent: the leaves show their nerves, while the trunk shows their irregular structure.

The look of both animals is touching, and the dark colour of their body parts contrasts perfectly with the flat, grey background of the coin. Just above the larger panda is the face value of the bullion (10 yuan) and above it, its specifications.

On the reverse of the coin, another of the country's most important landmarks, unchanged in all issues: the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. Here too there are two distinct parts: the outer part, with a flat, darker background with the name of the country in Chinese characters (sinograms) at the top and, at the bottom, the year of issue of the coin, in this case 2021.

The design in the centre of the reverse is wonderful. It shows the temple in bas-relief, with very good shadows and a high level of detail, especially in the staircases and the ornaments of the building.

The edge of the coin is diagonally striated, a substantial difference with respect to other coins on the market, which have a simple striated edge with horizontal lines, making it very unique and original.

Although more than 10,000,000 coins were issued, it is an item that tends to sell out quickly due to its high demand. The 30 gram Chinese Panda silver coin has a diameter of 40.00 millimetres. If you are out of one of these coins, please contact us and we will try to find it for you!
