1oz Silver Coin Vienna Philharmonic from 2021

One of the elements for which Austrian culture is best known is having one of the most prestigious philharmonic orchestras in the world: the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, which plays every January 1st to give the most eagerly awaited New Year's concert.

The design is spectacular, with the representation, on the cross, of all the instruments of the orchestra. The quality of the brass it is minted with is perfect: get one of the most demanded coins in the market at the best possible price!

1 ounce silver coin from the Vienna Philharmonic, minted in 2021 by the Münze Österreich, the Austrian Mint.

Inspired in 1989 by the success of other bullion coins that paid tribute to the cultures of the nations on which they were minted, the Münze Österreich decided to create a series on the Vienna Philharmonic, one of the world's best-known orchestras. Every 1 January, classical music lovers gather in front of their televisions to enjoy possibly the most eagerly awaited concert of the New Year. Since then, every year they have launched an edition that repeats the same design, which has captivated the public so much.

On the cross, we find the design of the organ in the hall of the Wiener Musikverein, with a spectacular level of detail: each of the pipes that make up the instrument can be seen to perfection. The frieze and pediment have several precious motifs on the upper part and two magnificent statues on top, which contribute to the embellishment of the coin. Above them, the name of the country in German and below them, the metal and the number of ounces it contains, the year of issue of the coin and its face value.

The face is particularly intricate: it is designed by the instruments of the orchestra - four violins, a harp, a bassoon, a cello and a horn - with a design that involves a lot of work and care in its implementation since all the strings are visible and its arrangement is striking for its symmetry and regularity.

The name of the coin in German and the brass with which it was made appear on the instruments. The edge of the coin is simple and flat, with no decorative elements.

The Vienna Philharmonic is one of the favourite coins of investors and collectors, either because of the purity of the metal with which it has been minted or because of its very attractive design, which pays tribute to one of the most important orchestras of contemporary classical music. Get it at the best possible price and we will bring it home to you with the greatest comfort!

It is made of silver with a purity of 999/1000, is 1 troy ounce, weighs 31.104 grams, with a nominal value of 1.5 Euros and its diameter is 37.00 millimetres.
