Columbia and Germania coin, from the Allegories series minted with 5 ounces of silver by the Germania Mint in 2019.
The Germania Mint started in 2019 one of the most ambitious series: Allegories, featuring the presence of the female personification of the most important nations in the world. In this way, bullion as important in the sector as the Germania, Britannia, Italy or Columbia are united in a spectacular single coin and whose production is very low, which makes it even more exclusive if possible.
This time the two protagonists are the Germania and the Columbia, the personification of the German and American nations. Both appear on the cross of the coin with their distinctive symbols: the Columbia in a modern suit full of pleats and carrying in her right hand the flag with the stars of the American states, and the Germania in a war suit and the flag with the double-headed eagle.
The structure of the cross is very striking: the outer face, divided from the inner face by a line that runs around the coin, contains all the coin's specifications and has various decorative motifs that give the impression of marble, while the background in the centre has small dots in bas-relief that give the impression of depth.
The cross is not the only thing that stands out on the coin. Surrounding the coat of arms on the face is a wreath of oak leaves symbolising loyalty, national stability. These leaves grow in size as they approach the bottom of the coin, with two of them attached to the bottom of the coat of arms.
At the top, the name of Germania and the year in which the coin was minted. At the bottom, the face value of the coin (25 marks).
Attached to the coin is a certificate of authenticity for the series, which bears the same cross design as the coin and the company's seal.
The Allegories: Columbia & Germania coin is minted with 5 ounces of 999.9 purity, has a diameter of 38.10 millimetres and a thickness of 14.00 millimetres. Get it at the best possible price in your trusted precious metal shop!
