1 ounce silver coin from the 825th anniversary series of Robin Hood. Minted in 2019 by the Münze Österreich.
In 1194 what is today the Münze Österreich, the Austrian Mint, was born. On the occasion of the 825th anniversary, the company launched a series of 3 coins including this one of Robin Hood, the mythical medieval hero who is known for fighting with a bow and stealing from the rich to give to the poor.
The hero is on the cross of the coin: its design is very complete and dynamic. He appears taking up practically all the space available, covered by a tree full of flowers and drawing a bow pointing with two arrows. The coin is very rich in detail: the quiver is filled with more arrows, the surface of the bow where the hero holds his hand is covered with bandages, and all the ornaments of archers' suits, such as the belt or the mittens to strengthen the wrists, are visible on your suit.
On the cross we find the classic design of the medieval knight with a very casual and happy style, in which the ornaments of the horse saddles and the protections of the soldier stand out. Above it is the German name of the country where the coin was issued and below it, the face value (1.50), the year of issue and the amount of metal that was struck.
This 1-ounce silver coin from the 825th anniversary of Robin Hood minted in 2019 weighs 31.103 grams, has a purity of 999.9 silver and a diameter of 37 millimetres.
